WORDPRESS

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Click Updates in the menu on the left. A red icon with a number indicates the number of available updates.
3. Update the core components, all plugins and all themes, until the red icon disappears.

JOOMLA!

1. Log in to your Joomla! control panel.
2. Go to the left menu under Maintenance; if there are updates available you will see a red icon with a number.
3. Press and install all available core updates and all extensions and templates.
